About this tool
This typing test measures your speed in words per minute (WPM) and your accuracy. One word is counted as five characters, the standard used by typing tests worldwide. Only correctly typed characters count toward your speed.
FAQ
What is a good typing speed?
The average person types about 40 WPM. 60-80 WPM is considered good, and above 100 WPM is excellent.
How can I type faster?
Practice daily, keep your eyes on the screen, use all ten fingers, and focus on accuracy first. Speed follows naturally.
